I often hear my Dad say that he cannot afford to retire or that he cannot afford to live past 85 years old.
That’s really sad to hear from someone who has worked and saved their whole life, earned a pension, and invested in their 401k. He’s done everything exactly as he was supposed to, as we have all been taught.
My Dad is an accountant. He knows all about saving, investing, and forecasting his money. That’s how he knows that he only have enough to live on until he reaches 85.
Internet affiliate marketers depend on websites to market their affiliate products, whether through simple little landing pages or by blogging like I do. So, if you are an affiliate marketer, then an obvious affiliate program to get involved with would be one for a hosting company or other service that provides a system to place your offer.
I want to share two such different possibilities and compare their potential benefits.
Before the economy became a problem, the news stories were about how health care is too expensive and people cannot afford insurance. Now that the economy is the top story, even more people are unable to afford health care. Do you know people who are in this position? Are you concerned that you could face this before the economy recovers? Would you be interested in a solution?
Have you heard of Bob Proctor? Whether you have or not, he wants you to be rich.
I have blogged before about affiliate marketing programs and a great opportunity arrived in my email this week. A couple years ago Bob Proctor got together with Jack Canfield and Rev. Michael Beckwith, 2 of his co-stars from The Secret, to create the SGR Program. At the time it cost $2,000 and shipped with a whole bunch of stuff in addition to the real content. It sold very well.
There are two things you need to create a business, a product or service, and a marketing plan. Affiliate marketing lets you shortcut your startup time by allowing you to plug into somebody else’s product or service, and so far all of the affiliate programs I have found are free to join. All you have to do is drive traffic to their website and they take it from there.
You don’t really have to worry about a marketing plan either because once you have directed traffic to their site, they have all of ad copy to promote the product already in place. All you need to be concerned with is directing traffic and collecting a commission, which is usually a percentage of the selling price.
Last time we talked about how a “job” is a dead end. JOB = Just Over Broke. The problem is that your income is ultimately limited to the number of hours in the day.
What else is there?
There are three broad categories of ways to make money. The first is to trade time for money, or have a job.
